Billing and Insurance

Billing and Credit Policy
Charges are payable at the time of service when there is no insurance available. Copays and deductibles are also payable on the day of your appointment. We accept cash, checks, Visa or MasterCard. We will gladly bill your insurance carrier provided you bring sufficient information to bill them. Remember that insurance reimbursement is a contract between you and the insurance company. You are responsible for payment on your account.
If you have difficulty meeting your obligations we will make an effort to set up a reasonable payment plan with you. We participate with most major insurances. In addition to the bill from your provider, if you have bloodwork drawn, a Pap smear, or if a biopsy procedure is performed, you will receive a separate bill from the lab and/or pathologist.
Medical Records
Your medical record is confidential. We follow HIPAA rules and do not give out information without written permission from you. South Sound Women’s Center now uses electronic medical records. Before your first appointment you will be asked to complete your health history online at https://patients.digichart.com.
Referrals
Due to the passage of a Washington State women’s healthcare law, a referral from your primary care provider may not be required when you are seen in our office for a reproductive healthcare issue. Please check with your insurance company prior to your appointment to avoid any delays.
Insurance Plans Accepted
We accept most insurance plans in the SW Washington area. These include Aetna, Regence, Premera, Blue Cross, KPS, Uniform, United Healthcare, Pacificare, First Choice, Teamsters, Tricare, DSHS, All Healthy Options, Medicare and others.
