Laparoscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure usually performed as an outpatient.

• The procedure is performed under general anesthesia.

• 1-3 small incisions are made. 

• Recovery is quick and rarely more than a week.

Common indications for Laparoscopy are:

• Pelvic pain

• Ovarian disease

• Tubal sterilization

• Suspected or confirmed tubal pregnancy
