Laparoscopy
Laparoscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure usually performed as an outpatient.
- The procedure is performed under general anesthesia.
- 1-3 small incisions are made.
- Recovery is quick and rarely more than a week.
Common indications for Laparoscopy are:
- Pelvic pain
- Ovarian disease
- Tubal sterilization
- Suspected or confirmed tubal pregnancy
