- SSWC offers a Trial of Labor after Cesarean Section (TOLAC), also known as Vaginal Birth After Cesarean Section (VBAC)
- Capital Medical Center is the only hospital in Thurston, Grays Harbor, Mason and Lewis counties to offer VBAC.
- If you want to be considered for a VBAC and are a new patient to our practice, we will schedule you for a consultation with one of our physicians to discuss the risks vs. benefits.
- If you are an existing patients, the risks vs. benefits will be discussed at your first OB appointment with a physician.
The factors we consider are:
- Type of incision on your uterus with previous C/Section
- Reason for previous C/Section
- Desire for sterilization
- Number of pregnancies planned
- Your preference
