About Dr. Johnson

After serving as a staff OB/GYN at naval hospitals in Maryland, California, and Washington, and a two-year stint at Good Shepherd Medical Group in Oregon, Debra Johnson, MD, joined the staff of South Sound Women’s Center in Olympia, Washington, in 1999. Dr. Johnson has been providing expert care to women of all ages for more than 25 years.

Dr. Johnson graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington. She earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, and then completed her internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Johnson, a lieutenant commander in the United States Navy, served eight years of active service in the Medical Corps.

Dr. Johnson is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
