After her undergraduate graduation from Stanford University, but before starting medical school, Dr. Walker embarked on an adventure of a lifetime by serving in the Peace Corps in Africa for a year. Following her Peace Corps service, she earned her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry. She then completed her OB/GYN residency at the University of Washington in 2007 and has remained in the state ever since.

She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and was elected as a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
